Freestanding wood stoves and fireplace inserts from Lopi, Jøtul, Hearthstone, Quadra-Fire and Vermont Castings. EPA-certified models, catalytic and non-catalytic, sized for homes that heat with wood all winter. See them burning on the showroom floor.
Pellet stoves run on a thermostat and burn bagged wood pellets. Fill the hopper and they feed themselves for hours at a time. Freestanding and insert models from Harman and Quadra-Fire, with pellets available through the burn season.
Direct-vent gas fireplaces, inserts and stoves, including modern linear models from Napoleon, Fireplace Xtrordinair and Kozy Heat. Electric fireplaces for rooms without a chimney or gas line.
Artesian Spas, including the South Seas and Island Spas lines, from two-seaters up to seven-adult models. Hydrotherapy jets, LED lighting and waterfalls, with plug-and-play and 240V options. Wet tests in our display spas by appointment.
Traditional Finnish saunas and infrared saunas, indoor and outdoor, from two-person cabins to custom builds. Both types on display to compare.
Doughboy above-ground pools, TidalFit swim spas and cold plunges, all available in store.

About the shop
Amador County runs from the valley floor up past 3,000 feet, and many homes up-country heat primarily with wood.
An oversized stove gets damped down all winter. It burns cool and smoky, builds creosote in the chimney and blackens the glass, and gives you less heat, not more. We size to the house: square footage, ceiling height, insulation, how open the floor plan is, and how you actually use it. Spas get the same care: the pad, the electrical, delivery access and the cover are sorted out before anything is ordered.
There has been a hearth shop at this address since 2006. Julie Cooper runs it now. She grew up in her father’s stove store in Eureka in the 1970s, sold stoves and saunas for years, and built custom saunas around Jackson Hole before taking over this location on Highway 49.
